BEVERLY HOMECOMING VETERANS AND FAMILY COOK OUT 2019

On Friday August 2nd from 4 to 7 pm, the Beverly Veterans Council sponsored the Annual Veterans and Family Cookout at Vietnam Veterans Memorial at One Ellis Square. 

It turned out to be a perfect summer afternoon of great food, music, conversation. Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chowder, Salads, Corn, Ice Cream, Cookies, Soda for all to enjoy. Many items of food, soda, home made goods were donated by many local restaurants.

WHO WE ARE

The BVV is a dedicated group of local Vietnam Veterans who promote awareness for the community & for our military family.

WHAT WE DO

The BVV is involved in fundraising at different events, scholarships for local students, and offering resources to local vets.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

IN MEMORIAM

The BVV was created in memory of 1st Lt. Stephen Doane, 5th Infantry, 25th infantry division, Army of the United States. First Lieutenant Doane was born in Beverly, MA on October 13th, 1947 and died on March 25th 1969.

His valor and performance of his duties merited award of the Medal of Honor (posthumously), the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, two Army Commendation Medals, and two Purple Hearts.

We will never forget.
